We take you to a full day tour to the so famous Great Plain of Hungary (Puszta). It is the largest flatland of Central Europe, which is about one hour drive far from Budapest.
We drive south from the capital of Hungary and our first stop is at Kecskemét that is considered the capital of the Puszta and is the cultural, economical and administrative centre of the county. There are beautiful richly ornamented ecclesiastical and public buildings, built in different architectural styles as art nouveau, eclectic, romantic and baroque.
After our short sightseeing tour at Kecskemét the excursion will be continued to the colourful, lovely and romantic flatland of Hungary with corn fields, fruit gardens, cow and sheep herds and plenty of horse studs.
Upon arrival at the typical traditional Hungarian farm we are welcomed with Hungarian snaps (pálinka) and home-made salted cake (pogácsa). We take you to a horse carriage ride first, then we participate in a unique horse show – you will see for example how a man can ride 5 to 11 horses at the same time.
The program is followed by a traditional Hungarian 3-course lunch and wine of the house accompanied with gipsy music.
After the contentful program we return to Budapest.
This tour is ideal for those who like the nature and the animals. Recommended for families with kids but not for those who have allergy to hair of animals.
